Setting Up and Connecting POS Hardware with Loyverse POS Software

Getting started with Loyverse Point of Sale System

1. Install and Set Up Loyverse POS


✅ Downloaded Loyverse POS app comes pre-installed by TillSense technicians. 

✅ Sign up here for a Loyverse account and log in.

✅ Set up your business details, currency, and tax settings.


2. Connecting POS Hardware


a) Receipt Printer Setup

📌 For Bluetooth Printers (Mobile/Tablet Setup)


1️⃣ Turn on the Bluetooth printer and pair it with your device.

2️⃣ Open Loyverse POS → Go to Settings → Printers → Add a new printer.

3️⃣ Select Bluetooth and choose your paired printer.

4️⃣ Set receipt printing options and print a test receipt.


📌 For Ethernet or USB Printers (Windows Setup)


1️⃣ Connect the printer via Ethernet (LAN) or USB.

2️⃣ Install the correct driver (if using USB).

3️⃣ Open Loyverse POS → Settings → Printers → Add Printer.

4️⃣ Choose Ethernet or USB, enter IP address (for Ethernet), and test print.


b) Cash Drawer Setup


1️⃣ The cash drawer connects to the receipt printer via an RJ11 cable.

2️⃣ In Loyverse POS, go to Settings → Printers → Select your printer.

3️⃣ Enable "Open cash drawer after sale".

4️⃣ Make a cash sale to test the cash drawer opening.



c) Barcode Scanner Setup


📌 For USB Scanners

1️⃣ Plug the scanner into a USB port (Windows or Android with OTG adapter).

2️⃣ Open Inventory in Loyverse POS and scan a barcode.

3️⃣ If the barcode doesn't scan, go to Settings → Barcode Scanners and add a new scanner.


📌 For Bluetooth Scanners

1️⃣ Pair the scanner with your device.

2️⃣ Set it to HID (Keyboard) Mode.

3️⃣ Scan a test product in the Loyverse POS app.


d) Card Payment Terminal Setup

Loyverse integrates with payment providers like Yoco Card Machine.

1️⃣ Go to Settings → Payment Types.

2️⃣ Select your payment processor and connect your card terminal.

3️⃣ Test by processing a small card transaction.


3. Setting Up Your POS System

Add Products: Go to Back Office → Items → Add new products with prices and barcodes.

Set Employee Roles: Create user accounts and assign permissions.

Customize Receipts: Set up logo, business name, and footer messages.



4. Testing & Troubleshooting

🛠 If a device doesn’t work, check:

  • Bluetooth/Wi-Fi connectivity for wireless devices.

  • Correct printer settings in Loyverse POS → Printers.

  • Device compatibility on the Loyverse Support Page.
